MAHARASHTRA DAL MACHINERY MANUFACTURING AND PROCESSING  has developed a low cost PKV dal mill for rural use. The machine has a capacity of 200 kg/hr. This machine can be owned, operated and manned by less skilled people of rural and semi-urban areas. The machine is run with the help of 5HP Three Phase Electric Motor, Capacity of processing is 200kg/hr to 1.2/1.5 ton per day. The cost of milling was estimated to be Rs. 110.0 per quintal. It can be used for all kind of Pulses such as moong, arhar, masoor, chana, etc.  As water and oil treatment is recommended in the milling process, the use of edible oil and water in the process of dehusking has been efficiently automized in this process.
